We hope you all had a fun filled time during the holidays, despite the freezing cold weather! DOOSC was buzzing with activities. The children enjoyed a visit to the local library and were able to choose a book to borrow. We had lots of crafts and activities during the week and the children shone when it came to our 3D wall plaques. They worked hard to create art pieces ranging from Sponge Bob Square Pants and Dr Who to flowers, butterflies and abstract creations! Baking their own pizzas was another highlight for the children…especially when they got to eat it for snack!!! Yum Yum! · Chinese New Year We have been celebrating Chinese New Year at the club. We discovered what animal we were on the Chinese calendar and even had a go at wring it in Chinese! We have held lots of different Chinese themed activities, including making masks and lanterns. We even made a friend for DOOSCIE our resident dragon!!! The children have enjoyed tasting lots of different Chinese foods, including spring rolls, stir-fry noodles and Chinese gooseberries!!!
· DOOSC Committee Meeting Parents are invited to come along to the next DOOSC committee meeting. This is your chance to make a difference and have your say in what’s going on at the club. We’re looking for parents, both current and new, to come along and have their say. Refreshments will be available.
