Drumlanrig Thunder romp home on Finals Day Final Trinity Tigers vs Drumlanrig Thunder Thunder batted first and posted a very modest 66-8 with Jordan top scoring with 19 with Sean S and Lisa taking 2 wkts each. Trinity must have thought their name was on cup but Ryan J had other ideas, taking an incredible 6 wkts from 12 balls to to leave last years winners on 63-12, with Lisa scoring 10 for Trinity. Drumlanrig coach Mr Hunter commented, "The children were really down at the end of their innings, after all we made it into the final on the basis of not losing wickets. I told them that the answer was simple, go and get 7 wickets! Ryan bowled magnificently but he was backed up by the other eight players in the team who also bowled and fielded like tigers. Presentation Best batsman of tournament Ronan A Best bowler of tournament Ryan J This was a great final to match any occasion and credit must go out to all the players, parents, teachers and of course the coaches who give up their sat mornings but when you see this it makes it all worth while.

Beaten finalists from last year,
Denholm, got off to a bad start
losing too many wickets to an
impressive looking Drumlanrig1
side. Drumlanrig batted first
and scored a modest 38-2 but
managed to keep Denholm at bay
with 20-8 with Ross claiming 3
wkts. Only Rowan showed any
resistance for Denholm with a
knock of 11 not out.
In the third game Stirches
scored an impressive 142-4, with
James top scoring, against
Wilton who scored 115-5 with
Jack top scoring for them.
Wilton actually scored more runs
but bowled too many wides and no
balls to undo all the hard work.
