Drumlanrig Thunder romp home on Finals Day Final Trinity Tigers vs Drumlanrig Thunder Thunder batted first and posted a very modest 66-8 with Jordan top scoring with 19 with Sean S and Lisa taking 2 wkts each. Trinity must have thought their name was on cup but Ryan J had other ideas, taking an incredible 6 wkts from 12 balls to to leave last years winners on 63-12, with Lisa scoring 10 for Trinity. Drumlanrig coach Mr Hunter commented, "The children were really down at the end of their innings, after all we made it into the final on the basis of not losing wickets. I told them that the answer was simple, go and get 9 wickets! Ryan bowled magnificently but he was backed up by the other eight players in the team who also bowled and fielded like tigers. My cricketers are a great bunch and I'm very proud of them all." 4th vs 3rd Stirches Strikers vs Denholm Dynamos Denholm beat Stirches with ease by possibly their best game scoring 110-3 with Ronan(32)and Clark(29) against Stirches 40-8 Eathan taking 3 wkts Finals 6th vs 5th Drumlanrig Dragons vs Wilton Warriors Wilton 64-5 beat Drumlanrig Dragons 58-5 with Craig top scoring for Wilton with 15 for the Dragons Ryan scored. Presentation Best batsman of tournament Ronan A Best bowler of tournament Ryan J This was a great final to match any occasion and credit must go out to all the players, parents, teachers and of course the coaches who give up their sat mornings but when you see this it makes it all worth while.
